Come away from the corner and sit with me for a while. I know you may not know who I am. I have known you my whole life. We will sit here and we can just talk, play a game, or I can just hold you.
I know being trapped is scary especially when in the dark. I hope you’ll allow me to help guide you to some peace and happiness. You are loved and you are much stronger than you know. Sometimes life can be scary and you’ve gotten through many challenges even at your young age. When it seems that the world is upside-down and everyone is against you, remember that you are loved, you are resilient, and you will always have me looking out for you now.
I will keep holding you as you finally get some sleep. You are an amazing little girl.
